Meet Kanga! Curious, cuddly and low to the ground, Kanga is the kind of dog who sneaks her way into your heart, short legs and all!

When Kanga first arrived at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was unsure how to interact with the world around her. Now living the good life in a foster home, she’s learning just how sweet everyday comforts can be, like soft couches, cozy routines and a well-timed snack. Kanga rides well in the car, is learning how to settle into home life at her own pace and enjoys relaxing in a crate or quiet space. She’s still polishing up her doggy manners, but she’s smart, food-motivated and making steady progress.

Kanga can be shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she lights up with tail wags, zoomies and the cutest little nudges when she’s ready for more attention. She’s playful, silly and absolutely loves spending time with her favorite humans.

She’s also a big fan of other dogs and loves a good game of tug or wrestling with her canine foster sibling. While she may not be the fastest runner (short legs, after all), she more than makes up for it with enthusiasm and heart. Kanga loves toys, both soft and hard, and happily shares them with her dog friends. She’s even been respectful and curious with the cat in her foster home!

With a little patience and a lot of treats, Kanga opens up in the sweetest ways. She’s silly, endearing and just getting started! Does Kanga sound like the companion for you? Press the “Submit an Adoption Inquiry” button below — we’d love to tell you more about her!
