Help Us Reach Our Adoption Goal — These Adorable Kitties Need Homes!
In June, we celebrated Adopt a Shelter Cat Month by setting an adoption goal of 325 cat and kitten adoptions for the felines in our care. This goal is so important to us that we extended our celebrations through the month of July, and the deadline is now coming up in just two weeks! To learn more about our goal, visit aspca.org/catmonth.
We are over two-thirds of the way there, but we need your help spreading the word of these friendly felines to cross the finish line! Read on to learn more about a few of our stellar cats in New York City!
Loaf
This gorgeous lady will make you believe in Loaf at first sight! Loaf is a very affectionate cat companion who enjoys relaxation just as much as playtime. When a wand toy comes out, she will bat it around joyfully. Afterwards, she’ll be happy to curl up by your side and ask for pets. If you’d like to learn more about this sweet girl, visit her profile!
Tapir
Tapir has come a long way while in our care! She has shown us that she is brave and resilient, and she has so much love to give. She enjoys spending her time in her favorite cozy corners, but she’ll happily come out for some treats or affection. Tapir is also learning how to play with cat toys — so far, she has enjoyed wand toys the most! Visit her profile to learn more about adopting her!
Kira
This girl is a professional catnapper! You’ll often find Kira stretched out in a sunbeam or perched on a windowsill to keep an eye on the neighborhood. She prefers to get to know new people at her pace, but once you’re friends with her, she’ll lean into your pets to show her appreciation. If this laidback companion sounds right for your home, check out her profile to learn more!
Patrice
Patrice is a gentle girl with an independent spirit! She prefers to seek out attention from her people on her own terms. When she does, she will politely ask for pets, playtime or treats — or all of the above! She also enjoys exploring her surroundings, finding a favorite corner where she can curl up and relax. Check out Patrice’s profile to find out how to adopt this sweet, mellow lady!

If this isn’t the right time for you to adopt, you can still make a lifesaving impact by becoming a foster caregiver! Fosters help animals like these blossom in a home setting. You can foster for the ASPCA in Columbus, Ohio, New York City, Los Angeles and Weaverville, North Carolina (dog fosters only)!
