Darbus

Darbus is a sweet, toy-loving pup who came to us from a suspected cruelty case. He is learning more every day about what it means to be a dog and how wonderful it feels to be loved!

At just 1 year old, Darbus has already come so far and is starting to show his soft, affectionate side. He is growing in confidence each day and has shown us his resilience, though he can still be a bit shy at first and may startle at sudden movements or loud noises. He’s still figuring out how to enjoy snuggles and relax fully into companionship, but he is becoming more affectionate with the people he knows well. With a gentle touch, a calm voice and a loving home, Darbus will continue to blossom into the happy, loyal companion he’s meant to be. 

A great way to get to know each other is through playtime! Darbus absolutely adores his toys and is happiest when showing them off or playing a game of fetch. He loves making his own fun — bouncing from one toy to the next, he is always up to trade out his current toy for a treat or a new toy.

Darbus also enjoys spending time with other dogs and has shown friendly greetings and a love for energetic, physical play. He’s still learning how to navigate doggy friendships and sometimes gets a bit overly excited, but he’s doing a great job learning what’s appropriate with the help of his people.
